Extend A Hand is a product that rewards the individuals with added safety and
stability. This product is used in "at-risk-to-fall" areas in your home. Falls
in the home cause additional medical expense and are a main reason for people
to seek assisted living alternatives. Extend A Hand is preferred for
assistance in maneuvering through a "at-risk-to-fall" area of your home,
cottage, boat, garage, RV or hot tub area.
Extend A Hand folds out and locks 12" from the wall, plus between the locking
extension is a conventional grab bar. With Extend A Hand engaged this grab bar
is easier to reach. This product will give you added safety for maneuvering in
and out of the bathtub. Once inside you can still use the Extend A Hand for
balance assistance while showering. If you don't need the extension it folds
down out of the way.
Extend A Hand is made with powder-coated aluminum and all stainless steel
mounting hardware. The rust free materials allow it to be mounted in shower or
hot tub areas. Extend A Hand can withstand over 600 lbs. of sustained weight
directly on the 12" easy lift auto-locking extension armature.
Extend A Hand is ADA & ADAAG compliant. It has passed NAHB testing for ASTM
F446-93. Extend A Hand is a DME Medicare registered device.
